2025 Autumn Color Review
I love the color of October. It’s so vibrant, yet fleeting. Enjoy it while it’s there, for it will soon be gone. A good metaphor for life, no?
The following images are all from my back yard, front yard, and side yard if I have one of those.
I like the idea that you don’t have to go on some big adventure to find likeable photographs. You just have to make the best of what’s available.
To be fair, I live on the edge of a giant hardwood forest. Finding fall colors is not difficult, so long as you are here when the change is happening.
The sun’s angle on the earth is also to our advantage. A lower angle throughout the day offers stronger light to make leaves pop!

There are certain times of the year when my cat really blends in to her surroundings.
I made apple yeast water out of apples from the back field. I mixed up the last of ny rye, 0/0 pizza, all purpose, and whole wheat flour and made bread.
