1/31/26 - Small Improvements

Looking over this month’s efforts, I realized several pictures needed more work. So I put on the tunes and addedmore depth shading, shadow and pluck to a few pieces that needed it.

Particularly the whale.

When I begin drawing again, after time away, it takes some time to get my mojo working. I’m not sure if it’s a loss of confidence or just rusty, but my first efforts seem to lack the detail and darkness of my later pieces. They are more open, plain, uncompelling.

Tonight, I thought I’d improve on some of them.
